Ensuring road safety and accessibility and promoting the use of non-motorized transport significantly contribute to fighting poverty, boosting economies, reducing inequalities, and preventing climate change.
The project on designing safe and inclusive roads in Africa, funded by the United Nations Road Safety Fund, aims to fill any gaps related to road safety and accessibility in Africa and to address the needs of focus countries (Morocco, Senegal and Mauritania) in their revision of road design standards.
A series of workshops are being held as part of the project.
