ESCWA launched the Arab Legislation Portal (ALP), which provides ESCWA member States with access to a repository of legislative frameworks in the region pertaining to the business environment, and enables rapid access to information on laws, regulations and legislative decrees.
The portal facilitates the analysis of current legislation and identify legislative loopholes in each Arab country, hence, supporting informed decision-making and legislative reforms.
It also promotes collaboration, knowledge-sharing and exchange of expertise among member States by providing a user-friendly platform that is accessible to policymakers, researchers and practitioners.
