Improving social protection systems in Tunisia

ESCWA and the Center for Research and Social Studies (CRES) of the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) in Tunisia held a series of meetings between 6 and 17 March, to implement the Social Protection Rapid Assessment Framework (SPP-RAF) and develop a comprehensive national social protection country profile for Tunisia.
 
The SPP-RAF applies publicly available statistical tools to the data managed by social protection programmes to increase their effectiveness.
 
The national social protection country profile provides policymakers with a comprehensive baseline of their respective social protection systems in terms of design, delivery mechanisms, and organizational set-up.
