To establish a society for all age groups and one that ensures ageing with dignity, ESCWA and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in Somalia organized a workshop entitled “National Strategy for Ageing and the Older Persons’ Act in Somalia”.
The workshop, held on 5 and 6 March, offered a platform to discuss the National Strategy for Ageing and the Older Persons’ Act and validate these two documents based on feedback from governmental stakeholders before adopting them in their final versions.
In another context, given the need to develop evidence-based policies to better manage migration, ESCWA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Somalia organized on 7 March a national workshop to review and discuss the national strategy for migration in the country.
