As part of regional preparations to review progress in the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action thirty years after its adoption (Beijing +30), ESCWA is partnering with the UN-Women Regional Office for Arab States and the League of Arab States to conduct an expert group meeting to review the draft Arab regional report on Beijing +30, prepared by ESCWA and its partners.
The meeting tackles progress achieved in the region, challenges faced and approaches adopted to overcome them with a view to providing recommendations and a road map for the coming five years to accelerate implementation. The report will be revised and finalized in light of the experts’ input, and presented, discussed and endorsed by government representatives at the high-level meeting on Beijing+30 in December 2024.
