ESCWA project nominated for the 2023 UNSG Awards

ESCWA has been nominated for the 2023 UN Secretary-General Awards under the UN 2.0 Quintet of change category through its Leave No Location Behind initiative, created by ESCWA Geo-Statistical Laboratory which aims to consolidate Arab Geo-Statistical data.
 
The Geo-Statistical Laboratory is the breeding ground for the cross-pollination of geo-enabled statistics in the region. It aims to build modern data skills and culture, enhance the capabilities to gather, process and use data from diverse sources as well as transform raw data into valuable insights that drive smarter decisions and impact.
 
UN staff members are encouraged to vote by 4 April and select the Geo-Statistical Laboratory at ESCWA: Leave No Location Behind.
