To advance gender equality and eradicarte all forms of discrimination against women, ESCWA and the Ministry of Social Development in Oman conducted a preparatory workshop to discuss the Sultanate’s 4th periodic report on the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
The workshop, held on 27 and 28 November, aimed to enrich participants’ knowledge and skills in addressing the fourth periodic national report of Oman. The document was submitted to the Committee on CEDAW in August 2022, and is set to be reviewed in early 2024.
Participants included representatives from relevant departments in the Ministry of Social Development, as well as other related ministries and national institutions.
