Multidimensional Poverty Index Assist Tool
The Multidimensional Poverty Index Assist Tool (MAT) will enable officials to construct a national multidimensional poverty index using advanced diagnostics, in a transparent and accountable manner. MAT will equip countries to use their microdata surveys to assess the incidence and depth of multidimensional deprivations in the population, and help countries track their status and growth and simulate developmental shocks. MAT will also allow for regional and temporal comparisons.
