Food labeling

On 15 October, ESCWA concluded two three-day workshops on “Good food packaging, labeling and marketing practices” in Al-Achaari and Batir in Jordan.
 
Participants from both areas learned about proper methods used to preserve and label food, safe transportation means, the art of marketing, and the identification of packaging materials. Participants will use the knowledge and skills acquired to improve the presentation, marketing, and advertisement of their products to increase their sales and revenue.
 
Both workshops were conducted in partnership with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) and the Arab Federation for Food Industries (AFFI) as part of the “Regional Initiative for Promoting Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region” (REGEND).
