ESCWA, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning of the Republic of the Sudan, is organizing a national workshop on enhancing integrated development planning in the Sudan.
The objectives of the workshop are to:
- Introduce and engage stakeholders from different backgrounds in the development planning process
- Build capacity and enhance knowledge of opportunities and challenges related to integrated development planning in the Sudan
- Provide participants with the skills, tools and ideas necessary to strengthen understanding of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and link it to national development plans
- Enhance knowledge of regulatory reforms and their importance in supporting national planning
Participants include development planning stakeholders at the national, sectoral and institutional levels in state ministries and agencies, civil society organizations, universities, research centres and United Nations agencies operating in the Sudan.
