As part of a series of training of trainers workshops on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the workplace, this workshop aims to prepare qualified trainers to enhance the capacities of employers in the following areas:
- Enhance the understanding of basic concepts such as diversity and inclusion, and highlight the benefits and management of the inclusion of persons with disability in the workplace
- Identify facilities and modifications that can enhance the participation of persons with disability in the workplace and enable them to develop their full potential
- Describe positive non-discriminatory attitudes and terms on disability and inclusion
- Address stigma and prejudice surrounding disability among employers
The workshop, which is based on the guide on “Integrating Persons with Disabilities in the Workplace”, brings together 14 participants from Mauritania, Somalia, the Sudan and Yemen.
