The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development emphasizes on leaving no one behind and reaching the most vulnerable. Data disaggregation is essential to reach the most vulnerable to provide more information on women and men and their conditions of life to achieve gender equality and empowerment in all localities. ESCWA assists countries to produce and disseminate 40 gender-related indicators by adapting the regional automized pocketbook tool at the city level to produce national Gender Lens Pocketbooks 2022.
The main objectives of the training are to:
- Learn how to construct a Gender Lens Pocketbook through Excel;
- Improve statistical skills to stimulate production of comparable gender-related indicators;
- Increase dissemination of gender statistics at sub-national level.
