In cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund and the League of Arab States, ESCWA is organizing a parliamentarians’ dialogue in the context of the sixth review of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) in the Arab region and the ten-year implementation review of the 2013 Cairo Declaration.
The participants representing ESCWA member States’ parliaments will engage in an online dialogue to monitor and evaluate the progress achieved in the implementation of the Declaration objectives.
Key messages will feed into the United Nations Secretary General’s report on the sixth review of the ICPD, which will be presented to the Commission on Population and Development in April 2024.
