ESCWA, in cooperation with the Debt Management Office of the Ministry of Finance in Oman, is organizing the second national workshop on innovative financing instruments and debt optimization strategies. The aim is to inform policy discussions of the opportunities for issuing such instruments and tools, to enhance fiscal space and fiscal sustainability.
The key findings and recommendations of the country paper “Public debt and debt optimization strategies for Oman” are discussed with ministerial representatives to operationalize the sustainable financing framework of Oman. Participants also share global experiences in issuances and monitoring frameworks of innovative financing instruments.
The workshop is attended by representatives from the United Nations and the Gulf Cooperation Council, and by reputed debt experts in the field of sustainable financing.le financing.
